VetaPet was founded in 2017 at the reception of the Joensuu-based veterinary clinic, Kivuton. We realized how difficult it was for both us and our customers to find and purchase suitable products for supporting pet health issues and other special needs. For example, veterinary diets and supplements designed for allergy management are not available in every local store, making it challenging to care for a pet’s health concerns.
When our clinic started running out of shelf space, we experimented with selling veterinary diets online. It turned out that there was demand across Finland for an easily accessible, pet health-focused selection.
